THE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION ADMINISTRATION BASED ON THE FOUR BRAHMAVIHARA PRINCIPLES BY ADMINISTRATORS OF EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS UNDER THE OFFICE OF LOEI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to study the administration of educational institutions under the office of Loei primary educational service area 1; 2) to study the administration of educational institutions based on the four brahmavihara principles by administrators under the office of Loei primary educational service area 1; 3) to propose guidelines for the administration of educational institutions based on the four brahmavihara principles by administrators under the office of Loei primary educational service area 1. The research results were as follows: 1. The administration of educational institutions by administrators under the Office of Loei Primary Educational Service Area 1, indicated that both administrators and personnel under this office had an overall high level of opinion regarding the administration. When considering each aspect, all scored highly, with the following order from most to least: general administration, budget administration, academic administration, and personnel administration. Thus, improvements in personnel administration, the lowest-scoring aspect, are recommended. 2. The administration of educational institutions based on the Four Brahmavihara Principles by administrators under the Office of Loei Primary Educational Service Area 1, revealed that administrators and educational personnel under this office had a high level of opinion overall, with the following order from most to least: Metta (loving-kindness), Mudita (sympathetic joy), Upekkha (equanimity), and Karuna (compassion). 3. The proposed guidelines for managing educational institutions based on the Four Brahmavihara Principles are as follows: Metta (Loving-kindness): administrators should foster a friendly atmosphere with personnel, speak in pleasant and gentle tones, and show flexibility and attentiveness to the needs of both students and staff. Karuna (Compassion): administrators should offer advice and guidance with joy, sincerity, and respect for personnel, honoring their dignity and consistently behaving in a moral and ethical manner. Mudita (Sympathetic Joy): administrators should assess clearly, directly, and transparently, showing compassion and not being indifferent. They should express joy when personnel are promoted or receive awards, providing awards as encouragement and setting an example for others. Upekkha (Equanimity): administrators should consistently care for and pay attention to both students and teachers, show friendliness towards all school members, provide equal assistance, attend to personnel’s work, and evaluate performance fairly.
