GUIDELINES FOR DETERMINING QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPENSATION FOR LOCAL POLICE VOLUNTEERS.

Abstract

This research article is to study Guidelines for determining qualifications and compensation for local police volunteers which considers the problems 1) determination of qualifications 2) compensation for performing duties This research is qualitative research based on concepts, theories, legal documents.The research results found that Since the regulations of the Royal Thai Police Concerning the promotion of citizens, communities localities and organizations to participate in police affairs 2008 announced it was found that 1) The criteria for those who volunteer at home textbooks do not specify qualifications minimum Therefore it provides an opportunity for people who do not have the knowledge skills and experience to work as volunteers to help police officers in the community 2) Remuneration for performing duties of local police volunteers It has not been clearly defined Therefore there is a lack of motivation in getting people with knowledge ability and work experience to apply to be local police volunteers.Therefore it is proposed to amend the regulations of the Royal Thai Police Concerning the promotion of citizens communities localities and organizations to participate in police affairs 2008 as follows 1) Article 13 Establishing criteria for those who volunteer at home Must have qualifications Not less than Mathayom 3 and not less than 35 years of age 2) Article 15 Local police volunteers receive a budget for their duties from the Royal Thai Police The police station in the local area is the operator as follows Pay rates (1) Perform duties not more than 4 hours receive expenses of 300 baht (2) Perform duties for more than 4 hours but not more than 8 hours receive expenses of 500 baht (3) Performing duties for more than 8 hours or more receives expenses of 1,000 baht.
