OPINIONS OF STUDENTS ON TEACHING AND LEARNING IN POLITICAL SCIENCE CURRICULUM AT BURIRAM BUDDHIST COLLEGE

Abstract

The objectives of this research included: 1) to study the opinions of students towards the teaching in Political Science Curriculum at Buriram Buddhist College; 2) to compare the opinions of students classified by personal status of the respondents including marital status, age and the year studying.  The sample consisted of 111 undergraduate students enrolled in Political Science Curriculum in the second semester of the academic year 2014. The instrument used in the research was a questionnaire with rating scale of Likert method. The questionnaire consisted of 15 questions in each aspect. In quantitative data collection, data were analyzed with a computer program. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, comparison through T-test and a one-way analysis of variance (One-way ANOVA). The results of this research were as follows. The overall opinions of students on the teaching in Political Science Curriculum at Buriram Buddhist College was at a high level. When it was considered by aspect, it was found as follows. 1) The opinions of students towards teaching and learning in all aspects were at a high level and it could be chronologically arranged from the highest to the lowest levels as follows: teaching and learning media; teaching and learning; assessment and evaluation; and provision of services. 2) The overall opinions towards Political Science Curriculum of students with 4 different aspects of status according to personal factors were not different. There was an exception of the different opinions between: the first and the second year; the second year and the third year; and the fourth year and the second year that they had different opinions on provision of services with statistical significance at the level of 0.05.
