DEVELOPMENT OF FOOD PRESERVATION OPERATIONS SKILLS BY USING PASTEURIZATION METHOD WITH DAVIES' TEACHING STYLE FOR 1ST YEAR DIPLOMA STUDENTS, YALA VOCATIONAL COLLEGE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to compare food preservation operations skills using the pasteurization method by Davie’s Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain, After studying with this method, students received 80% of the criteria for the first-year students of diploma, Study the satisfaction of first-year diploma students after studying with Davie’s Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain for the first-year students of diploma. Samples were the first-year students of diploma in the Food and Nutrition major. Yala Vocational College, 1 classroom with 17 people, which was obtained by cluster sampling, Using the classroom as the random unit. There are tools used in research including: 1. Lesson plan on food preservation using the method Pasteurization with Davie’s Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain for the first-year students of diploma. 2. Practical skills assessment form on food preservation using the method Pasteurization with Davie’s Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain for the first-year students of diploma, And 3. Measurement of student satisfaction with learning management on food preservation using the method Pasteurization, Which the researcher analyzed the data by finding percentage values, mean, standard deviation and test the
t-value using  One Samples-t-test. The finding of this research found that : 1. skill in food preservation using methods Pasteurization after studying with Davie’s Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain, above the 80% threshold, statistical significance was at the .05 level. 2. Students' satisfaction with learning management on food preservation using the method Pasteurization with Davie’s Instructional Model for Psychomotor Domain. The levels included in the highest level (= 4.60, SD = 0.13)
