FOLKLORE IN THE PAINTING WALL CHURCH OF TEMPLE IN UBON RATCHATHANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) to study beliefs and dissemination of Dhamma principles in the church murals of Thung Si Mueang Temple, Na Khwai Temple, and Thammala Temple, Ubon Ratchathani Province. (2) to analyze the beliefs and dissemination of Dhamma principles in the church murals of Thung Si Mueang Temple, Na Khwai Temple, and Thammala Temple, Ubon Ratchathani Province. and (3) to promote the value of disseminating Dhamma principles in the church murals of Thung Si Mueang Temple, Na Khwai Temple, and Thammala Temple, Ubon Ratchathani Province. This research is a qualitative field research. The research results found that Beliefs derived from the dissemination of Buddhist principles Through the church murals are art, beauty, and goodness. The murals on the walls of the cathedral create spiritual value. Makes the heart happy and content. Church murals are part of the local culture in the Northeast. It is based on faith and beliefs in Buddhism. Guidelines for promoting the value of disseminating Dhamma principles in the church murals of Thung Si Mueang Temple, Na Khwai Temple, and Thammala Temple include: 1) Promote the value of disseminating religious principles in archaeology and various museums. 2) Promote the value of spreading Dhamma principles in painting, architecture, and buildings. Including the remains of the city plan from the past. 3) Promote the value of spreading Dhamma principles in arts, handicrafts, sculpture, traditions and festivals. 4) Promote the value of spreading principles in local music or traditional folk music. 5) Promote the value of disseminating Dhamma principles in the form of short films. 6) Promote the value of disseminating Dhamma principles in the form of language and literature. 7) Promote the value of disseminating Dhamma principles in traditional events. beliefs related to religion and 8) promote the value of spreading the principles of ancient cultures. folk culture or subculture.
