THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CODING PROGRAM COMPUTER AND LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN THE CODING PROGRAM BY DAVIES INSTRUCTIONAL MODEL MANAGEMENT WITH THE MULTIMEDIA MATERIALS FOR GRADE 8 STUDENTS

Abstract

This research aimed to: 1) develop the computer program coding skill by Davies’ Practical skill learning management with the multimedia material of Grade 8 Students to have the mean score and pass the 80% criterion and 80% of all students could pass the criterion, and 2) develop the learning achievement by Davies’ practical skill learning management with the multimedia material of Grade 8 Students to have the mean score and pass the 80% criterion, and 80% of all students could pass the criterion towards the learning management in the computer program coding and learning achievement by Davies’ practical skill learning management with the multimedia material. The research design was the pre-experimental design in the One-Shot Case Study. The sample group included 36 Grade 8 Students, studying in 2nd Semester, 2022 Academic Year in Khonsanwittayakom School. The research instruments contained 6 learning management plans in Davies’ practical skill with the multimedia material within 12 hours of teaching, 2) the evaluation form of the computer program coding skill in the subjective tests in 6 items with the scoring rubric form, 3) the learning achievement test with the objective tests with 4 choices of 30 items. The data were analyzed by the descriptive statistics of the mean, percentage, the difficulty and discrimination values and the reliability value.  The research findings exposed that: 1) the results from the computer program coding skill by Davies’ practical skill learning management with the multimedia material revealed in overall that the students had the scores of practical skills from the computer program coding, equaled 65.27 mean score, valued 91.28%, and 32 students could pass the criterion score, equaled 88.89%. 2) The learning achievement in the computer program coding skill by Davies’ practical skill learning management indicated in overall that the students had the learning achievement in Davies’ practical skill learning management with the multimedia material in the computer program coding skill in the mean score of 26.19, valued 87.31%, and 33 students could pass the criterion, equaled 91.67.
