THE ACTIVE AGEING AMONG ELDERLY IN COMMUNITY AT MUEANG DISTRICT CHAIYAPHUM PROVINCE

Abstract

The research was purpose of the Active Ageing among Community Dwelling Older Adults in Mueang District Chaiyaphum province. The determination of sample size using Robert V. Krejcie's criteria of 265 elderly people at Mueang District Chaiyaphum province. The inclusion criteria are: Completely conscious, able to hear and communicate in Thai and understand normal cognition Assessed using the brain condition test((Abbreviated Mental Test [AMT]) and with more than 7 points. The instruments used in the research was a questionnaire about, active ageing scale for Thai people [AAS-Thai]) (confidence coefficient 0.95). The data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of the research were as follows : (1) the Active Ageing Active Aging in the elderly by side as follows : health was moderate, 72.83 percent, the participation was at a moderate level, 73.96 percent, security was at a moderate level, 76.98 percent and the overall picture was at a moderate level of 78.1 percent.
