Abstract

Employee creativity is essential for an organization to stay ahead of the competition, and social media is currently widely used in which people exchange all kinds of information. Based on the theory of social capital and self-efficacy, this study selects social media learning as the mediating variable and creative self-efficacy as the moderating variable, and explores the impact of individual knowledge sharing in social media on employees' creativity. This study conducted a questionnaire survey on the staff of various enterprises and institutions across the country, and found that knowledge sharing in social media has a significant positive impact on employee creativity, and social media learning plays a complete mediating role between the two, but the moderating effect of individual creative self-efficacy is not obvious. Therefore, this study argues that organizations should promote knowledge sharing through social media to improve the level of social media learning, and then promote the generation of employee creativity.
