A STUDY OF FOLKLORE TALES ALONG THE BUDDHIST WAY OF CONSERVATION OF COMMUNITY FORESTS IN LOEI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objective of this research study is to study the wisdom of local stories in conserving community forest areas. Including the use of Buddhist methods to conserve community forest areas based on local wisdom. as well as strengthening networks for conserving community forest areas. The method was used to collect data from interviews with a group of informants in the Ban Na Wiang Yai community area, Village No. 12, Dan Sai Subdistrict, Dan Sai District, Loei Province. The results of the study found that the cultural wisdom in preserving community forest areas is the local story of Na Wiang Yai villagers. There is both conservation wisdom that is a traditional story. and conservation wisdom that is a Buddhist story. Including the use of Buddhist methods to conserve community forest areas based on the local wisdom of Na Wiang Yai villagers. There is the use of Buddhist methods of conservation through practices based on animistic beliefs. and the use of Buddhist methods of conservation through practices based on Buddhist beliefs. as well as strengthening the network for conserving community forest areas based on the local wisdom of Na Wiang Yai villagers. There is the creation of a community network for conservation through the way of life of the Tai Dan people. and creating a conservation community network through the Na Wiang people's way of life. In addition to having the aura of both animist and Buddhist beliefs mixed together, it has become Buddhism in a folk way. The stories of this local community's way of life can also be used as a reflection of the thought that is connected to nature in terms of resource conservation. Especially in community forest areas.
