THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND EFFECTIVENESS OF SCHOOLS UNDER KHON KAEN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the level of strategic leadership of school administrators and the effectiveness of schools under Khon Kaen Vocational Education and 2) to study the relationship between strategic leadership of school administrators and the effectiveness of schools under Khon Kaen Vocational Education. The sample group used in this study included school administrators and teachers under Khon Kaen Vocational Education with the total number of 263 people. The instrument used consisted of 5-level rating scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.93. The statistics used comprised percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The study results were found that: 1) Strategic leadership of school administrators under Khon Kaen Vocational Education, in overall and each aspect, was rated at a high level, the aspect with the highest average was revolutionary thinking, followed by vision, the aspect with the least practical level was organization's direction establishing, and the effectiveness of schools under Khon Kaen Vocational Education, in overall and each aspect, was rated at a high level, the aspect with the highest average was problem solving ability in schools, followed by learning achievement, student developing ability to have a positive attitude, the aspect with the least practical level was school adjusting and developing ability. 2)The relationship between the strategic leadership of school administrators and the effectiveness of schools under Khon Kaen Vocational Education, in all aspects, was positive rearranging from the most to the least as follows: revolutionary thinking, , student developing ability to have a positive attitude, followed by organization's direction establishing and learning achievement and organization's direction establishing and student developing ability to have a positive attitude, the least aspect of relationship was revolutionary thinking and problem solving ability within the school with statistical significance at .01 level.
