STATES, PROBLEMS, AND GUIDELINE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE JURISDICTION OF OFFICE OF THE DHAMMA EDUCATION AREA 9

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study the states and problems of academic administration in schools under the jurisdiction of Office of the Dhamma Education Area 9 and study guidelines for the development of Academic Administration in schools under the jurisdiction of Office of the Dhamma Education Area 9. The sample consisted of 201 subjects drawn from school administrators, head of academic administration office, and teachers. The research tools included a questionnaire on academic administration states with the reliability of .96, a questionnaire on academic administration problems with the reliability of .97, and an interview form and the informants consisted of 24 persons, selected from school administrators, head of academic administration office, and teachers, and content analysis was used for interview data. The statistics used for data analysis were Frequency, Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation.The findings were as follows: 1) The states of school academic administration, as whole was at the high level while the problems of school academic administration, as whole, was the low level. 2) Guidelines for the development of school academic administration were that schools should support teachers knowledge on making, finding, producing technological teaching aids and use them more; locate more budget on the development and utilization of teaching aids; have participative activities with community to enhance relationship culture; use variety and appropriate methods for auditing and revising internal quality in schools; support teachers to implement more of self-learning practice according to Active Learning rather than lectures.
