THE APPLICATION OF 5S FOR DEVELOPMENT OF ENHANCEMENT TEMPLE ACCORDING TO CONCEPT OF WAT PRACHA RATH SANGSUK PROJECT

Abstract

This academic article has the objectives: 1) to study the application of 5s principle to develop and upgrade temples in line with the concept of the Wat Pracha Rath Sangsuk Project, and 2) to analyze the application of 5S principle to develop and upgrade temples in line with the concept of the Wat Pracha Rath Sangsuk Project. The method used is to study and research textbooks, research, journals, websites, and academic articles in various formats, and to analyze the results of the study. 1) The Wat Pracha Rath Sangsuk Project is 1 of 14 strategic projects according to the joint agreement of the Sangha Supreme Council and the government, in accordance with the resolution of the Sangha Supreme Council at the 5/2559 meeting (Resolution 106/2559). In the 2/2560 meeting on January 30, 2017, the 5s concept was developed and applied to the context of temples to make temples shady and beautiful places, suitable for learning, a source of supplies, and a pleasant place. And it is an important center of the community 2) Applying the 5S principle to the development of the temple, namely S1: (Sasang) Sort, meaning sacrifice (generosity), reducing unnecessary personal belongings of monks and passing them on to those in need. S2: (Saduak) Convenient, meaning being mindful in managing (mindfulness), storing things in an orderly and systematic manner. S3: (Sa-Aad) Clean, meaning taking care of the temple and community to be clean and beautiful. S4: (Sang Matratan) Create standards, meaning respecting the correctness of the group or social justice, setting rules and regulations so that everyone can practice the same and have the same understanding. And S5: (Sang Vinaya) Create discipline, meaning maintaining the Dharma and Vinaya by maintaining and behaving according to the Dharma and Vinaya or the regulations that the Sangha has set.
