THE EFFICIENCY OF EXPRESS AND SMARTBIZ PACKAGES IN THE ACCOUNTING OFFICES IN MUANG DISTRICT UBON RATCHATHANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this study included: 1) to study the efficiency of the Express and the Smartbiz accounting software; 2) to compare the efficiency of accounting  software between the Express and the Smartbiz. The sampling population of this research included accountants in 4 accounting firms in Ubon Ratchathani Province. The sample comprised of 20 accountants derived from Krejcie & Morgan’s table at 95% confidence interval with error not exceeding 0.05. A research instrument was a questionnaire. Statistics used in this study included frequency, percentage, average () and standard deviation (S.D.). Findings showed that the overall efficiency of Express and Smartbiz packages in Ubon Ratchathani Province was at a high level. When it was considered by aspect, it was found that opinions of all aspects were at a high level including: accounting software functionality of the packages is at a high level; reliability was at a high level; software installation was at a high level; and satisfaction of users was at a high level.
