INCREASING EFFICIENCY IN ADMINISTRATION UNDER THE PRINCIPLES OF GOOD GOVERNANCE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study ways to increase the effectiveness of administration under the principles of good governance in local government organizations. It is qualitative research. By studying concepts related to effectiveness and administration according to the principles of good governance of local government organizations, Key informants were 20 executives of involved government agencies using a specific selection method. Tools used to collect data include Semi-structured, in-depth interviews and content analysis. And creating conclusions based on the issues from the interviews. The results of the study found that administering work under the principles of good governance in all 6 areas, namely: 1) The rule of law: there should be administrative principles that adhere to the authority of the law, rules, and regulations in administering government affairs with fairness. Non-discrimination 2) Principles of morality: There should be a training project for everyone to have morality and ethics courses in order for the personnel of local government organizations to have morality. And behave according to the principles of morality. There is a framework that specifies concrete ethics. 3) Principles of transparency. A committee should be appointed for the center. To publicize news, there is a strict financial and material management system planned. Every process of the local administrative organization can be checked. 4) Principles of participation. There should always be opportunities for citizens and stakeholders to come together for local development. To listen to people's problems. A local administrative organization development committee has been appointed. Personnel in the organization help make decisions independently. 5) Principle of Responsibility: There should be a clear direction and an operational plan. There is an understanding of the plan. Focusing on developing efficiency and quality in operations or services to manage and alleviate problems, and 6) the principle of value for money. There should be cost-effective management of human resources. The scope of work has been determined according to authority and duties. To make work as efficient as possible.
