THE DEVELOPMENT OF LESSON PLAN TO IMPROVE ENGLISH READING SKILLS FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT (ENGLISH) USING SPELLING TECHNIQUE TOGETHER WITH ILLUSTRATION THE 2W3P LEARNING MANAGEMENT FOR 4TH GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop of lesson plan to improve English Reading Skills in Foreign Language Department (English) Using the Spelling technique together with Illustrations of the 2W3P Learning Management with efficiency at the 75/75 level based on the criteria standard level 4th grade student, 2) to find the effectiveness index of lesson plan, 3) to compare reading skills of 4th grade students between before and after learning management, and 4) to assess students’ satisfactions toward learning management. The sample consisted of 30 students at the 4th grade level in the second semester of academic year 2021 from Phaob na nakorn1 School. The research instruments were 10 plans of the 2W3P English Learning Management, an English Reading and Spelling Skills Test, and the Questionnaire of student satisfaction toward learning management. The statistics used were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test (Dependent Samples). The results revealed that: The lesson plan efficiency (E1/E2) was 81.8/78.57, which was higher than the 75/75 threshold set. The effectiveness index (E.I.) was 77.01 and the reading skills after studied was significantly higher than before at .05 level. The student satisfaction toward learning management of student, overall was at the highest level.
