Situations and Factors Related to the Arrangement of Dental Services in Public Health Facilities under COVID-19 in 3 Southern Border Provinces

Abstract

This study is a quantitative and qualitative study. The objective was to study the situation of dental services and factors related to dental services in public health facilities under the COVID-19 situation in the 3 southern border provinces. The sample consisted of 305 dental personnel, randomly sampled using coincidence. Research instruments include closed-ended questionnaires, 5-level estimatoriums, and open-ended questions. Analyze data with statistics Percentage, average, standard deviation Pearson correlation coefficient and content analysis. The results of the study showed that the provision of dental services in public health facilities Respondents were able to perform moderate levels of oral health promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation under the COVID-19 situation, with oral disease treatment having the highest average (3.36 ± 1.35) and oral rehabilitation having the lowest average (2.89 ± 1.59). The top three results of the correlation coefficient between various factors and oral promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation were community participation (r = 0.796), emergency and referral services (r = 0.736), and tertiary network functionality (r = 0.717). Focus on self-reliance and oral care and focus on emergency or urgent treatment to reduce patient suffering.
