THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHINESE LISTENING-SPEAKING SKILLS OF SECONDARY 3 STUDENTS USING ACTIVE LEARNING WITH MULTIMEDIA

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to compare the listening and speaking skills in Chinese of Mathayomsuksa 3 students taught through Active Learning with multimedia between pre- and post-instruction, and 2) to study the satisfaction with teaching and learning through Active Learning with multimedia. The sample group were Mathayomsuksa 3 students at Tak Pittayakom School who enrolled in the first semester, academic year 2022, employed random method. The research instruments consisted of 1) Active Learning with multimedia teaching and learning management plan titled on My Family: 4 lesson plans, 4 hours. 2) the learning achievement test in Chinese subject titled on "My Family”, and 3) the Satisfaction Assessment Form of Mathayomsuksa 3 students as a Rating Scale with 5 levels, 20 items. The data were collected and analyzed by means ( ), standard deviation (S.D) and t-test Statistic. The results revealed that 1) post-test scores ( = 13.44) were higher than that of the pre-test ( =10.35). Pinyin reading aloud of Mathayomsuksa 3/1 students taught by using the listening and speaking practice package was significantly different at .05. 2) Satisfaction of Mathayomsuksa 3 students taught by Active Learning with multimedia teaching were at the highest level ( = 4.10 and S.D. = 0.78).
