Abstract

Education policy is a crucial tool in determining the direction and objectives of education to ensure that education meets societal needs and fully develops the potential of learners. However, translating these policies into practice often encounters various obstacles and problems that affect the efficiency and outcomes of such policies. This article aims to analyze the significant issues and obstacles found in implementing education policy. Education policies may not align with the specific contexts of individual schools, such as school size, resource availability, and cultural differences. Rapid social, economic, and technological changes can make existing policiesless relevant over time. Budget, personnel, and adequate facilities affect the implementation of policies. Unfair resource allocation may result in unequal development opportunities for some schools. Education personnel may lack the knowledge, understanding, and skills to effectively implement the policies. Continuous development and training of personnel will enable them to adapt to policy changes. The collaboration between administrators, teachers, parents, and students, and between related units such as the Office of the Basic Education Commission, higher education institutions, affects the support and drive of the policy. A systematic monitoring and evaluation system provides insights into the impact of the policy and allows for timely adjustments and improvements. The evaluation results can be used to improve operations effectively.
