Educational Administration using Deming Cycle to Enhance Student Moral and Ethical Beyond Catholic School Identity, Joseph Ithaya School

Abstract

This research aims to study the implementation of quality cycles in administrative institutions to enhance moral ethics among students at Josephvithaya School Chanthaburi. In the academic year 2022, the school evaluated student behavior from elementary school to secondary school. The assessment revealed that the percentages for love and kindness were 74.50%, honesty was 71.91%, and self-sufficiency was 72.99% respectively. The results of all assessments are at a moderate level. This evaluation fails to meet the school's objective, which requires at least 95 percent of students to exhibit behavior aligned with the school's identity and philosophy of "Education through virtue for personal and social well-being." The school has established explicit operational guidelines to address various situations. These guidelines define the roles and responsibilities of the personnel, outline a development plan, and align with the school's educational management goals and policies. The school also utilizes the PDCA quality cycle system to ensure efficient operations and continuous improvement in school administration. This strategy seeks to promote the moral values of kindness, honesty, and being self-sufficient among students.
