Abstract
This article aims to present a participatory approach to school safety through the experiences of Wat Huang Nam Khao School. The school is a vital learning environment, and students spend a significant amount of time engaging in various activities on the premises. If the school environment poses risks, the likelihood of unforeseen incidents increases. To prevent such risks within the school, it is the responsibility of everyone involved to ensure safety. The strengths of this approach include 1) Working with heart: understanding and listening to suggestions from the team. 2) Planning and clear goal setting: Planning and setting clear goals for activities. 3)Teamwork: Collaborating to enhance abilities and efficiency. 4) Joy in work: Cultivating a creative working culture. 5)Networking: Building networks and collaboration both internally and externally and 6) Knowledge and Experience: Enhancing potential and continuous learning in flexible and contemporary ways to adapt to changes. The operational process follows the PLODPHI MODEL, consisting of seven steps) Plan: Plan the course of action. 2) Learn: Study and gather information. 3)Observe: Monitor and watch for potential risks. 4) Do: Take action and solve problems. 5) Present: Present the results of actions. 6) Assessment: Evaluate and assess results and 7) improvement: Improve and adjust as needed. This has resulted in physical and mental well-being for students and educational staff, contributing directly to the development of educational quality and student learning outcomes. Moreover, it has built trust at all levels and confidence in providing education at this school.
