THAI The Relationship between Strategic Leadership of Administrators and the Effectiveness of Schools under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) strategic leadership of school administrators, 2) the effectiveness of schools, and 3) the relationship between strategic leadership of administrators and the effectiveness of schools under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The research was a correlational research. The sample group consisted of 137 school administrators, obtained by random sampling method using Taro Yamane's formula with reliability at 95%. The instrument used was a questionnaire’s reliability of 0.99. The statistics used to analyze data comprised percentages, means, standard deviations, and Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient. The research results were found that: 1) Strategic leadership of administrators, in overall, was rated at the highest level. The most practiced aspect was strategy implementation 2) The effectiveness of schools, in overall, was rated at the highest level. The most practiced aspect was developing students to have higher learning achievement, And 3) The relationship between strategic leadership and the effectiveness of schools was rated at a high level with statistical significance at .01 level. The pair with the highest correlation coefficient was an effective organizational culture creation and changing and developing the school, followed by determining the direction of the school and developing higher learning achievement. The pair with the least relationship was strategy determination and developing students to have a positive attitude.
