Abstract

The purpose of this article to study some aspects of the Lord Buddha and politics. From the recorded evidence, it was found that in the Buddha's time, the Lord Buddha was involved in politics. But he was involved as a teacher. Enter as a means of eliminating suffering. He is politically neutral or above politics. Therefore, he was able to preach religion to every country, every region, regardless of what form of government that region would have. Buddhism is closely related to politics in terms of doctrine. In terms of proposing a principle or a form of government that will benefit the people of that state by the Buddha teaching the Dharma that is suitable for the form of government of the state without being involved in the administration or internal government of the state in any way So religion and politics and society therefore have a close relationship Any change that takes place in politics and society will have an impact on religion, and just as any change that takes place in religion will have an impact on politics and society.
