Evaluation of Local Cuisine to Global Platform, Watsamosorn School, Nakhon Sri Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 4

Abstract

            This research article aimed to evaluate the Local Cuisine to Global Project of Wat Samosorn School under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, using Hammond’s evaluation model. The evaluation focused on three aspects: 1) students’ learning behaviors, 2) instructional management, and 3) institutional aspects. The target group consisted of 80 participants, including 1 school administrator, 9 school board committee members, 11 teachers, 39 students in Grades 4–6, and 20 parents. The research instruments included cognitive domain tests, affective domain assessments, psychomotor domain assessments, score recording forms, questionnaires, and interviews. All items had an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) of 1.00. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency, mean, and standard deviation, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis and descriptive interpretation.

            The results revealed that: 1. In terms of learning behaviors: 1) Most students achieved a very good level in the cognitive domain 2) An overall good level in the affective domain and 3) A good level in the psychomotor domain which met the evaluation criteria. 2. In terms of instructional management, the overall evaluation of system organization, content, teaching methods, facilities, and budget was at a high level, meeting the evaluation criteria. 3. In terms of institutional aspects, administrators, teachers, students, parents, and school committee members expressed high satisfaction with the project. Students showed continuous interest and enthusiasm in participating in activities. Teachers demonstrated professional development, while parents and the community closely followed the project’s progress. The project was widely accepted and strongly supported by all sectors. Moreover, it encouraged participation from all stakeholders in planning, implementation, evaluation, and improvement processes, resulting in a strong and sustainable project.
