Evaluation of the Adolescent Training Program on Drug Prevention and Premature Pregnancy at Wat Don Krai School, Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 4

Abstract

            This research article aimed to evaluate the reaction, learning, behavior, and results of the “Bright Teenagers Program for Drug Abuse and Teenage Pregnancy Prevention” at Wat Don Krai School in the academic year 2024. The evaluation was conducted using the Kirkpatrick Model developed by Donald L. Kirkpatrick. The sample group was selected through purposive sampling and consisted of 64 participants, including 1 school administrator, 15 teachers, and 48 students in Grades 7–9 during the 2024 academic year. The research instruments included a questionnaire and an interview form. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and percentage.

The results indicated that the overall evaluation of the program was at the highest level. When considering each dimension, all aspects were also rated at the highest level. The aspects ranked from highest to lowest mean scores were results (X  = 4.86), learning (X  = 4.82), reaction (X = 4.82), and behavior (X  = 4.78), respectively. These findings reflect the program’s effectiveness in multiple dimensions. Participants reported high satisfaction with the training activities and program format (reaction), demonstrated increased knowledge, understanding, and positive attitudes (learning), and were able to apply the knowledge to improve their daily behaviors appropriately (behavior). Furthermore, the program produced tangible outcomes at both the individual and group levels (results).
