The Participatory Administration of the White School Project based on Sanghahavatthus 4 of Huasairuenprachaban School under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area 3

Abstract

               This research article aims to Study 1) the conditions of the participatory administration of the white school project. 2)the guideline for the participatory administration of the white school project based on Sanghahavatthus 4. 3) to propose and evaluate the guideline. This qualitative study consisted of three phases. Phase 1: The conditions of the participatory administration of the white school project was examined through the in-depth interviews with 15 key informants, including the deputy directors and teachers. The instrument was an in-depth interview form with content validity checked. Data were analyzed by using content analysis. Phase 2: The guideline for the participatory administration of the white school project based on Sanghahavatthus 4 was developed through interviews with 5 experts, including academic officer, directors, and monk. The instrument was the interview form. Data were analyzed by using content analysis. Phase 3: The focus group discussion and evaluation the guideline of 7 persons was conducted, including the chairman of the school board, the directors, and the monk. The instrument was the guideline evaluation form. Data were analyzed by using content analysis.

            The research results were found as follows: 1) The conditions of the participatory administration of the white school project contains five measures with participation from stakeholders. This reduced drug-related and risk factors. However, limitations were identified in communication, teacher workload, budget, specialists, and consistency of community participation. 2) The study revealed the operation of the five measures (prevention, detection, treatment, surveillance, and management) operated through four participatory components: decision-making, operation, benefit-sharing, monitoring and evaluation. These were integrated with the Sangahavatthu 4: generosity, kind speech, helpfulness, and impartiality. The process consisted of planning, operation, monitoring and evaluation, and improvement and development. 3) The persons agreed the proposed guideline was appropriate, feasible, beneficial within the school context.
