The Development of Essential Skills for Student Teacher

Abstract
This academic article aims to study the development of essential skills for student teachers in the context of Thai education amid educational changes in the 21st century. It analyzes necessary skills, both fundamental and advanced, including appropriate development approaches. The study findings reveal that student teachers need holistic skill development covering learning management, measurement and evaluation, technology and innovation, classroom research, as well as advanced skills in analytical thinking, communication, and individual learner development. The new knowledge gained is the "Holistic Skill Development Model for Thai Student Teachers", which integrates four key components: basic skills, advanced skills, professional development, and learning networks, emphasizing continuous and sustainable development to enhance the quality of Thai teacher production to meet future challenges.
