Factors Affecting the Effectiveness of Quality of Life Development for the Elderly in Sam Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngam District, Phichit Province

Abstract

This research studies 1. To study the quality of life of the elderly and social support for the elderly in the area of Sam Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngam District, Phichit Province 2. To compare the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Sam Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngam District, Phichit Province classified by personal characteristics and 3. To study the influence of social support factors on the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Sam Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngam District, Phichit From a total of 643 people, using the Taro Yamane formula will result in a sample of 260 people. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean (Mean), percentage (Percentage) and standard deviation (Standard deviation) and variance (One-Way ANOVA).

            The results of the research found that most of the respondents were male, aged 60-65 years, widowed/divorced/separated, aged 31-40 years, and farmers. In terms of social support of the elderly in the area of Sam Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngam District, Phichit Province Overall, the 3 aspects of social support for the elderly were found to be at the highest level. The quality of life of the elderly in the area of Sam Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngam District, Phichit Province, overall, the 4 aspects were found to be at the highest level. Hypothesis testing found that gender, age, status, occupation, and average monthly income were different factors affecting the effectiveness of the development of the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Sam Ngam Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sam Ngam District, Phichit Province. Overall, they were different with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
