The Development of Public Service Delivery of Hua Taphan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province

Abstract

This research aimed to: (1) describe the current state of public services of Hua Taphan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province; (2) identify problems in public services of Hua Taphan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province; and (3) propose guidelines for the development of public services of Hua Taphan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province. The research was conducted by collecting data from key informants divided into 3 groups, totaling 12 persons. The data collection method was semi-structured interviews. The research findings included: (1) a study of the development of public services of Hua Taphan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province. It found that public services in electricity, water, transportation, and waste management were at fair to good levels. The service was attentive and trusted by the public. However, limitations were found in terms of service quality, coverage, and infrastructure, as well as budget, personnel, and space constraints. (2) The main problems included inadequate electricity and road coverage in some areas, water supply system still had problems with quality and water distribution, inadequate waste sorting, and lack of expertise in some personnel, which affected the ability to fully meet the needs of the public. (3) The proposed development guidelines included: Expanding and improving infrastructure, developing service quality and personnel, using technology in management, raising public awareness and participation, and increasing transparency and concreteness to ensure that public services effectively and sustainably meet the needs of the people.
