THE DEVELOPMENT AND ENHANCEMENT OF GRASSROOTS COMMUNITY ENTREPRENEURS IN NAKHON PATHOM PROVINCE

Abstract

The development and enhancement of grassroots community entrepreneurs in Nakhon Pathom province were studied with the following objectives: 1) to explore approaches for developing and upgrading grassroots community entrepreneurs, and 2) to provide data for organizing capacity-building activities for grassroots community entrepreneurs. This study focused on nine SMEs in the grassroots economy sector in Nakhon Pathom. The survey results revealed that most entrepreneurs faced limitations in product processing, production costs, waste generation in the production process, business losses, substandard packaging, distribution channels, and high operating costs. These issues were key points of interest in formulating a study plan and policy recommendations aimed at driving and developing grassroots entrepreneurs toward sustainable self-management.
