Abstract

This article aims to present a concept for promoting parental and family involvement in early childhood education through the 5 Power Learning Activities, in order to create a framework that fosters the development of young children. The 5 Powers include Self-Power, Family Power, Intellectual Power, Peer Power, and Community Power. This concept is based on knowledge that emphasizes the holistic development of children in physical, emotional, social, and intellectual domains. Parental and family involvement plays a crucial role in creating an environment that allows children to fully learn and develop. A synthesis of various studies found that Self-Power helps boost children’s self-confidence and emotional regulation skills. Meanwhile, Family Power strengthens family relationships through shared activities that promote understanding and support. Intellectual Power enhances children’s learning and analytical thinking through activities that engage them, such as reading and cognitive-stimulating play. Additionally, Peer Power and Community Power play vital roles in fostering social skills and teamwork by cultivating a sense of belonging to the community, children feel more connected to their surroundings. The application of the 5 Power concept in educational processes leads to the effective development of young children. The ideas in this article offer a valuable framework for promoting parental and family involvement in early childhood education, and it opens opportunities for the development of new educational models that emphasize collaboration between schools, families, and communities.
