BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES IN HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This article aims to present the concept of "Buddhist Principles in Human Resource Development." Human resource development is crucial for enhancing the efficiency and potential of an organization. In this regard, Buddhist principles can be effectively utilized as a guide for human resource development. Key principles such as Sīla (morality), Samādhi (concentration), and Paññā (wisdom) can be applied to foster a balanced approach to work, encompassing both physical and mental well-being as well as ethical conduct. These principles also promote a sense of belonging within the organization and enhance personal capabilities through meditation practice and Dharma application. By integrating Buddhist principles into human resource development, organizations can create an environment conducive to the growth of both the character and morality of their personnel, leading to increased work efficiency and employee satisfaction.
