COMPETENCY-BASED EDUCATION MANAGEMENT BASED ON THE TRIPLE ONE MODEL TOWARDS AUTONOMOUS LEARNING FOR AGRICULTURAL VOCATIONAL STUDENTS

Abstract
This article presents the concept of competency-based education management and its impact on the education of agricultural vocational institutions, aimed at fostering independent learning among students. Through a competency-based curriculum, learning is organized using farm-based activities aligned with the context and policies of the institution. Teachers should thoroughly understand competencies, facilitate learning, and inspire students to design their learning according to their individual styles. The approach encourages students to set learning goals, build confidence, stay motivated, experience joy, and rely less on others. It enables students to apply agricultural vocational skills effectively, assessing competencies through real-life farm management situations, which serve as learning resources aligned with specific disciplines, allowing students to earn income, conduct research, and create new knowledge using scientific methods. The educational institution has implemented the concept of competency-based education, but it has not yet been truly effective for learners. Despite the clarity of competency-based curricula in the educational field for over 30 years, changes in the global paradigm may be affecting its effectiveness. Therefore, there is an urgent need to deepen understanding among agricultural vocational teachers to guide education in a way that promotes meaningful independent learning for agricultural vocational students.
