Abstract
This research purposes were 1) to study performance of school administrators based on professional code of ethics, 2) to study organizational commitment of teachers and 3) to study the relationship between performance of school administrators based on professional code of ethics and organizational commitment of teachers. The sample was 32 school administrators and 278 teachers. The sample was determined according to the Krejcie and Morgan tables and using stratified random sampling. The tool for collecting data was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. The statistics that were used in this research were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’ Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The results showed that:
- 1. The performance of school administrators based on professional code of ethics as a whole was at a high level. When considering in each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average was societal ethics, followed by client centered ethics, professional ethics, the lowest average was collegial ethics. 2. The organizational commitment of teachers in overall was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect with the highest average was the aspect of the willingness to be dedicated to operational approach in school, followed by the desire to remain in school. The aspect with the lowest average was acceptance of the school goals and values. 3. The relationship between performance of school administrators based on professional code of ethics and organizational commitment of teachers in overall and each aspect had a positive relationship at high level of correlation (r =.761**) with statistical significance at the .01 level.
