Professional Ethics and the Preservation of Thai Culture in the Digital Era

Abstract

The purpose of this academic article was to present the guidelines for conducting oneself according to professional ethics and preserving Thai culture in the digital era by adhering to professional ethics principles, 1) Code of ethics towards oneself, 2) Professional ethics, 3) Code of ethics for service recipients, 4) Code of ethics for professional participants, and 5) Code of ethics for society. In the era of innovation changes and rapid advancements in digital technology affect teaching and learning arrangements in educational institutions. The administrators need to have the knowledge and ability to manage various matters and be able to manage available resources cost-effectively, which will bring the greatest benefit to students and educational institutions, as well as promote, support, and participate in the conservation of traditions and continuation of Thai culture. To develop and solve cultural problems, for example, the lack of gratitude, disobedience to parents, lack of composure in manners, and respect for elders. The problems of adequate cultural promotion                                 and campaigning, as well as the problems of adequately promoting and campaigning regarding culture, are a result of a lack of learning awareness and a good understanding of technology among people in society. Educational institution administrators must have an ideology of how to behave and conduct themselves according to the professional code of ethics and be ready to accept changes in the current situation. It promotes positive behavior in terms of conduct and developing the educational system to make progress and participation in preserving Thai culture last forever.
