The Study of the Operation of the Elder Club: A Case Study of the Elderly Association, Sampran District, Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: 1. to study the conditions of the activities of the Elderly Association of Sampran District, Nakhon Pathom Province; 2. to study the factors that had success in the activities of the Elderly Association of Sampran District, Nakhon Pathom Province. The study collected data by interviewing members of clubs and the Board of Directors of the Association of Elderly Persons. Members of the Elderly Club, Sampran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, totaling 19 clubs. Data analysis of numbers and percentages. There is an interview activity format tool that is 1) activities to educate members about health 2) activities to visit sick elderly association members 3) exercise activities 4) welfare activities 5) occupational promotion activities 6) activities to preserve cultural traditions and transfer wisdom 7) Long-term care activities for the elderly 8) the satisfaction of the elderly association and operational factors in leadership. Factors affecting the success of the operation of the Association of Elderly Persons consisted of 4 aspects: 1) Leadership and membership factors Sacrifice, patience, responsibility Honesty. 2) Factors relating to the structure of the association. There is a clear division of duties and responsibilities. 3) Factors in the capital, sources of funds can be obtained from association members and donations from stores, private companies, government agencies, and earning income from organizing activities. 4) Social and cultural factors Support from the public and private sectors Demonstrates the relationship between different groups so that the elderly association can continue to operate continuously and sustainably.
