Abstract

This research aimed to (1) to examine the current conditions and existing problems in educational management in accordance with the Catholic educational identity of Darasamutr Aranyaprathet School, and (2) to propose development guidelines for educational management aligned with the school’s Catholic educational identity. The sample comprised 120 administrators, teachers, and school personnel from Darasamutr Aranyaprathet School, selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments included a questionnaire and an in-depth interview protocol. The questionnaire employed a five-point Likert-type rating scale. The instruments demonstrated content validity with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) value of 1.00 and reliability of 0.80. A mixed-method approach was employed: quantitative data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation, while qualitative data were analyzed through in-depth interviews and content analysis.
The findings revealed that (1) the current conditions of educational management consistent with the Catholic educational identity were implemented effectively across the seven identity dimensions, with particularly strong performance in love, compassion, sufficiency, and care for the environment at the highest level. Regarding existing problems, aspects identified as requiring further development-respect for human dignity, integrity/honesty, and service-were rated at a low level. (2) The proposed development guidelines for educational management aligned with the Catholic educational identity include establishing a participatory management system involving all stakeholders, utilizing technology to support educational administration and learning, formulating clear criteria for assessing the Catholic identity, and systematically applying evaluation results to inform continuous school development planning.
