The Impact of Political Change on Staff’s Performance of the National Office of Buddhism in Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to: 1) to study the Impact of political change on staff’s performance of the National Office of Buddhism in Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province, 2) to compare the Impact of political change on staff’s performance of the National Office of Buddhism in Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province, and 3) to propose recommendations regarding the Impact of political change on staff’s performance of the National Office of Buddhism in Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province. A quantitative research methodology was employed. The research findings revealed that the overall perception of the impact of political changes across four key dimensions routine duties, organizational policy and planning, support for monastic affairs, and organizational culture was at a moderate level. Among these, routine duty performance and policy planning were perceived to be most affected, both at a high level, whereas support for monastic affairs and organizational culture were rated at a moderate level. The comparative analysis showed statistically significant differences in perceptions among officials based on occupation and income, while no significant differences were observed in relation to gender, age, or educational background. Based on the findings, the study recommends that the organization align its plans and policies more closely with government directives, strengthen support for monastic activities, and enhance preparedness in terms of personnel, budgeting, and work planning. Moreover, it emphasizes the importance of building a strong organizational identity to ensure long-term sustainability. These recommendations are intended to support the organization's capacity to adapt effectively to political fluctuations, thereby maintaining administrative efficiency and stability in the performance of its religious and cultural mandates.
