Abstract

In the modern era, education is facing rapid changes driven by continuous technological advancements, cultural diversity, and increasing societal expectations. As a result, school administrators must adapt quickly to evolving circumstances and confront a variety of challenges in educational management and leadership. One of the key qualities essential for school leaders in the 21st century is ethical leadership, which refers to leadership grounded in ethical principles that guide decision-making and actions. School administrators who demonstrate ethical leadership can foster a collaborative and happy working environment, enhance trust within the organization, and effectively reduce internal conflicts. Schools that have embraced and integrated the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy into their administration—such as using resources wisely, developing strategic plans based on moderation and participation, and promoting moral and ethical values in school activities—have cultivated supportive and sustainable learning environments. In the context of Thailand, ethical leadership is closely aligned with the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy, which emphasizes a balanced and sustainable way of living at both individual and organizational levels. Administrators who uphold ethical values are capable of leading their organizations toward long-term success by focusing on human resource development, creating positive learning environments, and using resources efficiently. Developing ethical leaders within educational institutions is therefore a vital strategy for schools to effectively cope with contemporary challenges. Ethical leadership not only drives success in teaching and learning but also fosters sustainable development at both the organizational and societal levels.
