Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) study the operational efficiency of employees in the Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited, Metropolitan Region 103, 2) study the motivation affecting the operational efficiency of employees in the Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited, Metropolitan Region 103, and 3) study the relationship of motivation and the operational efficiency of employees in the Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited, Metropolitan Region 103. The population of this study was the 147employees in the Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited, Metropolitan Region 103.The sample size was obtained by Krejcie and Mogan’s method. The sample were 108 respondents and were selected by purposive sampling. The tool for data collecting was a questionnaire by surveying. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson product moment correlation coefficient.


          The research findings were as follows:


  1. The personal data of the respondents revealed that the most were females 65 persons or 2 %, followed by males 43 persons or 39.8 %, age between 26-40 years old 68 persons or 63.0 %, education level for a bachelor degree 94 persons or 87.1 %, work experienced 6-10 years 53 persons or 49.1 %, income between 15,001-25,000 baht 75 persons or 69.4 %.

  2. The operational efficiency of employees in the Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited, Metropolitan Region 103, were, overall at a high level. Considering each aspect individually revealed that the highest mean of aspects was the expenses, followed by job quantity, job quality, and time, respectively.

  3. The operational motivation of employees in the Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited, Metropolitan Region 103, were, overall at a high level. Considering each aspect individually revealed that the highest mean was the aspect of the responsibility, followed by compensation, peer relationship, working success, job characteristics, working environment, position progress, esteem acceptance, administrative policy, working safety, respectively.

  4. The relationship of motivation affecting the operational efficiency of employees in the Bank of Ayudhya Public Company Limited, Metropolitan Region 103, were, overall had no correlation (rxy= .052, sig. .590). Considering each aspect individually revealed that there were correlated in 3 aspects such as job quality, followed by time, job quantity at a statistical significance level of 01, except for the aspect of expenses (rxy= .174, sig. .071)
