Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the level of Buddhist methods to promote political participation of the people in exercising their right to vote, 2) compare Buddhist methods to promote political participation of the people in exercising their right to vote, and 3) recommend Buddhist methods to promote political participation of the people in exercising their right to vote in the Na-O Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang District, Loei Province. This research has a reliability of 0.802. The statistics used to analyze the data are frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis is tested by t-test and F-test. The qualitative research uses in-depth interviews with 9 key informants. The results of the research are as follows: 1. Overall, the results are at a high level in all aspects, ranked from highest to lowest as follows: political participation according to the principle of non-abhihariyadhamma, followed by the development of political participation, and expectations to participate in politics. Confidence and faith in the democratic regime And in terms of creative political exercise, respectively. 2) The results of the comparison, overall, were not different at a statistical significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the research hypothesis was rejected when considering each aspect. People of different genders were not different at a statistical significance level of 0.05. 3) Supporting people to have a greater role in politics, people are ready to exercise their right to vote when an election is held, political participation at all levels, frequent meetings, readiness, adherence to principles, giving importance to institutions, giving justice to women, respecting and worshipping pagodas, protecting religion.
