Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to investigate the effects of a Hatha Yoga program on the physical fitness of early childhood students at Taksin Rajanusorn School. The participants were 20 preschool children selected through purposive sampling. The program lasted for 8 weeks and included basic yoga postures suitable for children aged 4–6 years. Physical fitness components—muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and agility—were assessed before and after the intervention. The findings revealed that the children’s physical fitness significantly improved in all measured aspects (p < .05), particularly in flexibility and balance. These results indicate that Hatha Yoga is a beneficial physical activity for promoting health and fundamental movement skills in early childhood.
