A STUDY OF THE OPINION TOWARDS TEACHING TECHNIQUES AND TEACHING STYLES ACTIVE LEARNING IN THE 21ST CENTURY FACULTY OF EDUCATION PROFESSOR UTTARADIT RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find the opinion towards the use of teaching techniques and teaching styles of active learning in the 21^st century. The populations were 70  lecturers from Faculty of Education, Uttaradit Rajabhat University. The sample was 50 lecturers from Faculty of Education, Uttaradit Rajabhat University by the purposive sampling. The research instrument was questionnaire. The data were analyzed using qualitative analysis by content analysis and analyze quantitative data using mean, and standard deviation.The qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis and the quantitative data was analyzed using mean,  and standard deviation.The results revealed that; 1. The lecturers' opinion towards the use of teaching techniques of active learning in the in 21^st century was at a high level when considered in particular aspects, it was found that teaching techniques used most by those lecturers at a high level were 1) reflection 2) game  3) group discussion 4) cooperative learning, and 5) mind mapping. 2. The lecturers' opinion towards the use of teaching styles of active learning in  the 21st century was at the highest level when considered in particular aspects, it was found that teaching styles used most by those lecturers at the highest level were 1) brain-based learning 2) stem education 3) flipped classroom 4) thinking based learning, and 5)  5 steps.
