THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY COMPETENCIES OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND TEACHER’S EFFECTIVENESS IN TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR STUDENTS IN GENERATION ALPHA

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1. To study the level of digital technology competency of educational institution administrators. 2. To study the level of teacher’s effectiveness in organizing teaching and learning for learners in Generation Alpha. 3. To study the relationship between the digital technology competency of school administrators and teacher’s effectiveness of teaching and learning for Generation Alpha learners. The sample group used in this research includes head teachers of 8 subject groups from 11 elementary schools under Bangkok metropolitan administration using a specific selection method, These schools have passed external evaluations from the Office of Educational Standards and Quality Assessment. (Public Organization) with a very good level results for 3 consecutive rounds. The tool used for collecting data is a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with an  index congruency (IOC) consistency between 0.60 - 1.00. The reliability of the questionnaire is 0.95 statistic used are mean, standard deviation and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The research results can be summarized as follows: 1) Digital technology competency level of educational institution administrators is at a high level. 2) Teacher’s overall level of effectiveness in organizing teaching and learning for learners in Generation Alpha is at a high level, and 3) The digital technology competency of school administrators and the effectiveness in organizing teaching and learning for learners in Generation Alpha are positively related at a moderate level with statistically significant level .01.
