GUIDELINES FOR PROMOTING OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE SAMUT PRAKAN SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract

The purposes of this research are 1) to study the strategic management of school administrators under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area Office. 2) to compare the strategic management of school administrators under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area Office, classification according to the status of teachers includes gender, age, educational qualifications, academic status, work experience and the size of the educational institution. 3) to study guidelines for promoting strategic management of school administrators under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area Office. The sample group according to the research method consists of the quantitative research which were 327 teachers under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area Office by opening the sample size determination table of Krejcie and Morgan by stratified random sampling according to the size of the educational institution and simple random sampling according to proportion  and  the qualitative  research which the informants were 5 school administrators through purposive sampling. The instrument implemented in collecting the data was five-point rating scale questionnaire constructed by the researcher. The instruments were assessed with content validity by index of congruency: IOC which were between 0.80-1.00, reliability with -Cronbach's alpha coefficient which were equal to 0.98. Percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, One Way Anova, LSN and content analysis were used as the statistical devices for analyzing the data. The results of the research found that 1) the strategic management of school administrators under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area Office, the overall level was at a high level. The aspect with the highest average was the highest level of strategy execution, next the strategy formulation was at the highest level, while environment analysis and evaluation and control were at a high level. 2) the comparative results of strategic management of school administrators under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area Office, classified by gender, age, educational qualifications, academic status, and work experience; there were no difference while classified according to the size of the educational institution; there was significantly different at the .01 level. 3) the strategic management guidelines of school administrators under the Samut Prakan Secondary Educational Service Area Office, there were 2 approaches to environment scanning, 3 approaches to strategic formulation, 3 approaches to strategy implementation, 3 approaches to evaluation and control, and 8 approaches to recommendations.
