THE CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT TO ENHANCE LIFE EXPERIENCE ON THE SUFFICIENCY ECONOMY PHILOSOPHY FOR YOUTHS AGE 12-15 YEARS IN MAE AI SUBDISTRICT, MAE AI DISTRICT, CHIANG MAI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) to study basic information in developing a curriculum, and 2) to develop a curriculum that enhances life experiences on sufficiency economy philosophy  that uses Tyler's curriculum development model which has four Steps : 1) setting goals, 2) selecting content necessary to achieve goals, 3) selecting experiences that are appropriate for achieving goals and have the possibility of being used, and 4) evaluation. The target group of this research is 30 youth ages from 12 - 15  who are all residents of Mae Ai , Mae Ai, Chiang Mai. The results of the research found that: 1.  Mae Ai is a community with abundant natural resources. Thus, it creates a context of high self-reliance with today's material progress and globalization. As a result, the youth's potential for self-reliance has decreased, giving more attention to technology. 2. the result of using the curriculum 1) appropriateness of the curriculum components, with 10 elements, indicating that the elements of the curriculum are satisfactory (= 4.25- 5.00, S.D. = 0.00 ถึง 0.45), and 2. the results of the trial of the curriculum analysis  from the students' pre-study and post-study tests. It was found that the test scores after studying (=16.93, S.D. = 1.91) were higher than before studying (= 7.33, S.D. = 3.33).  The results of the data analysis from the self-reliance potential assessment form  after studying using the curriculum are as follows, the mean () was in the range of 4.07 to 4.87 points and the standard deviation (S.D.) was in the range of 0.00 to 0.73.
