THE PERFORMANCE TOWARDS EXCELLENCE IN QUALITY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION OF SCIENCE MATHEMATICS AND TECHNOLOGY UNDER THE OFFICE OF NONG KHAI SECONDARY EDUCATION SERVICE AREA

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the management of quality school administration of science mathematics and technology under the Office of Nong Khai Secondary Education Service Area, and 2) to find out the performances towards excellence in quality school administration of science mathematics and technology under the Office of Nong Khai Secondary Education Service Area. The research was conducted in 2 phases. The first phase was to study the management of quality school administration of science mathematics and technology under the Office of Nong Khai Secondary Education Service Area. The samples were 279 of school administrators and teacher obtained through the stratified random sampling. The instrument was a 5 rating-scales questionnaire with the reliability of .97.  The statistics used for data analysis were frequency percentage, mean, standard deviation. The second phase was to find out the performances towards excellence in quality school administration of science mathematics and technology under the Office of Nong Khai Secondary Education Service Area. The samples were carried out with 9 informants who were purposively selected for in-depth interview to analyze data using content analysis and to validate the information. The validate used for data analysis were frequency percentage and mean.The findings of the study were as follows: 1.  the management of quality school administration of science mathematics and technology under the Office of Nong Khai Secondary Education Service Area, following the standards set by the institute for the promotion of teaching science and technology (IPST) was found in the high level. 2. The performances towards excellence in quality school administration of science mathematics and technology under the Office of Nong Khai Secondary Education Service Area 3 aspects were found as follows, 1) student quality 2) teacher quality, and 3) School management, in collaboration with the PDCA cycle.
