Abstract

Individuals or students with learning disabilities are individuals who have a special need, particularly in essential skills like reading and writing. This difficulty extends to students with intellectual disabilities and some autistic students who also struggle with reading. Therefore, it's crucial to find effective teaching methods, tools, and technologies to improve reading skills, especially for those facing learning obstacles. One such facilitative approach involves the utilization of easy read digital media, which facilitates access to necessary information for individuals with learning difficulties. Creating documents in an easy read format requires considerations for layout, images, fonts, language usage, sentences, numbers, spacing, and engaging individuals with learning disabilities in the process, as they are the direct beneficiaries of these documents.
