THE PATH-GOAL LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AFFECTING PERFORMANCEMOTIVATION OF TEACHERS UNDER AMNAT CHAROEN PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the path-goal leadership of school administrators under Amnat Charoen Primary Educational Service Area Office, 2) to study the performance motivation of teachers, 3) to study the relationship between the path-goal leadership of school administrators and the performance motivation of teachers, and 4) to study the factors of the path-goal leadership of school administrators affecting the performance motivation of teachers. The sample consisted of 322 teachers under Amnat Charoen Primary Educational Service Area using stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a five-rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for analyzing the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, simple correction, and enter stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings were as follows: 1. The overall path-goal leadership of school administrators was at a high level. 2. The overall performance motivation of teachers was at a high level. 3. The relationship between the path-goal leadership of school administrators and the performance motivation of teachers in positive was a medium level statistical significantly at .01 level. and 4. The path-goal leadership of school administrators affected the performance motivation of teachers statistical significantly at .01 level. Sort descending the correlation coefficient, Achievement leadership, Participative leadership, Supportive leadership, and Directive leadership, and jointly prediction to the performance motivation of teachers had 51 % and the predictive equation in raw and standard scores as follows:
