THE PROCESS OF PROMOTING MORALITY AND ETHICS ON A MULTICULTURAL BASIS FOR YOUTH IN THE THREE SOUTHERN BORDER PROVINCES

Abstract

This research aims to study the process of promoting moral and ethical values in alignment with multiculturalism in the three southern border provinces of Thailand, a region characterized by cultural and religious diversity, particularly among youth. The objectives of the research are to develop appropriate approaches and activity models for promoting moral and ethical values in a multicultural context. Additionally, it emphasizes fostering collaboration between communities, schools, and families to support and enhance moral and ethical values among young people.This study employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing in-depth interviews and field observations. Data were collected from a sample group consisting of teachers, community leaders, parents, and youth. The findings reveal that an effective process for promoting moral and ethical values in this area requires consideration of cultural diversity and the active participation of all stakeholders.The results of this research have led to the development of approaches and activity models that can be applied in other culturally diverse areas. These findings aim to foster societies that promote understanding and mutual respect within the context of multiculturalism.
