AN ANALYSIS OF THE ETHICAL PRINCIPLES IN LUKTHUNG MOLAM ESAN SONGS

Abstract

The study of ethical principles reflected in Lukthung Molam Esan Songs plays an important role in reflecting the history and way of life of the Isan people. These ethical principles can be divided into two main parts: those influenced by religion and those derived from folk beliefs. The research objectives are twofold: to study the ethical principles evident in Isan mor lam songs and to analyze the values and roles of these ethical principles within the songs. The scope of the research focuses on the content and documentation related to ethics in these songs.The study employs a documentary research method to gather data and analyze the values of ethical principles in Isan mor lam songs, with the hope of benefiting the academic community and creating new songs that align with the culture of Isan communities. This would make them a medium for promoting the value of music listening and reducing imitative behaviors within the community.The Research findings indicate that Lukthung Molam Esan Songs play a significant role in reflecting and promoting ethical principles related to love, gratitude, and unity. These songs not only provide entertainment but also help foster good relationships within the community and promote moral development in society. Additionally, the analysis reveals the influence of these songs on the values and lifestyles of listeners, as well as their potential to inspire ethical living.
